Volunteering in your area
Whether you volunteer to help out at your local hospital or within your community, just a few hours from your week can make a big difference.
Make a differenceRoyal Voluntary Service mobilises volunteers in every corner of Britain to support people in need and the NHS.
Our volunteers work with healthcare teams and in communities providing practical help and emotional support when people are struggling to cope.
We deliver the NHS and Care Volunteer Responders programme for NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care, where our volunteers help to ease pressure on the health and social care systems by providing support to people receiving care from local services or to those who have recently been discharged from hospital. Our volunteers also support at vaccination sites.
Royal Voluntary service is proud to have honoured Their Majesties’ Coronation with The Coronation Champions Awards, an official Coronation project. Together with Her Majesty The Queen, the awards celebrate extraordinary volunteers across the country who have been contributing to their communities.
